This page has links organized by subject
to book extracts and articles published at the Ganoksin Project. The Ganoksin
Project is a free educational site for the worlds jewelers.
Begun by Dr. Hanuman Aspler in 1996 and built collaboratively with Charles
Lewton-Brain, it now has the largest jewelry/metals oriented content on
the Web, with up to 22,000 unique visitors a day, 4 million a year, and
visitors staying for an average 20 pages. Lewton-Brain has over 700 pages
of his writing there. This writing is what got the project rolling at
the beginning, most of it listed on this page. Click
here for a Ganoksin Project history. In 2016 Seth Rosen took over the management of Ganoksin Project. The site's Orchid mailing list,
a discussion group for professional and technical issues for jewelers,
has over 8,500 professional members worldwide. The Orchid list emails
are archived and searchable on the site, providing an incredible source
of information for jewelers. Various authors have book extracts there
besides Lewton-Brain: Alan Revere, Tim McCreight, Erhard Brepohl, Leon
Hornstein, Richard Huge, Sandra Smith, Brad Simon and others. Thousands
of aspiring and professional goldsmiths have benefited from the information
at the Ganoksin Project. Its goals include increasing information exchange,
challenging traditional secrecy in the field and helping jewelers and
goldsmiths globally.
